Nope, this drive is doing the exact same thing as the Quantum one did
(Quantum and Maxtor are the same company now istr). Anyway..
The usual IDE system has unit 0, 1, 2 and 3 - what I am now getting with
this drive installed is a unit 5 also!?!? I have feeling that it is this
that is giving me the problems with the drive and dont honestly have a clue
what to do :-/
I did format one partition on the new drive with FFS and it appeared to work
ok, so I reformatted it again with PFS3 on it instead and then I got the
same corrupted files problem again. So I'm guessing its a PFS problem
somewhere along the lines, but once again I have no idea on how to solve it
:-(
